About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to support the U.S. Federal Civilian Government business, focusing on research within Federal Civilian agencies. The role involves helping customers implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solving technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Helping U.S. Federal Civilian Government organizations implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems.
• Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
• Defining implementation architectures, responding to RFPs, and developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.
• Being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.

Requirements

• Experience with industry best practices for security, standards, and compliance for designing large-scale cloud computing solutions.
• Technical presentations – whiteboard, small and large group presentations.
• Technical – web services development/deployment and cloud computing.
• Web site/services operations, management, and security.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
• Associate's degree or above, or CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner) or CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) or Cloud+ or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).

Base salary range: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
