About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to support the U.S. Federal Civilian Government business. The role involves helping customers implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solving technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Helping U.S. Federal Civilian Government organizations implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems.
• Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
• Defining implementation architectures, responding to RFPs, developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.
• Being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.

Requirements

• Experience with industry best practices for security, standards, and compliance for designing large-scale cloud computing solutions.
• Technical presentations – white board, small and large group presentations.
• Technical – web services development/deployment and cloud computing.
• Web site/services operations, management, and security.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
• Associate's degree or above, or CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner) or CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) or Cloud+ or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).

Pay

Base salary range for this position is $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually.

Schedule

Up to 30% travel is required.
