Sr. Solutions Architect, Data Center, Cloud (Philadelphia, PA)

Presidio is seeking a Data Center focused Senior Solutions Architect to join our team in the Philadelphia region. This role acts as a strategic pre-sales engineering resource for data center and hybrid cloud solutions from market-leading manufacturers like Dell-EMC, Cisco, and VMware.

About the role

The majority of time for this position is spent meeting with customers at their locations and working remotely. The job is focused primarily in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas, with up to 25% regional travel expected.

Responsibilities

• Meet with Presidio’s customers, collecting requirements for infrastructure solutions relating to data center and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Present and explain technologies to customers, guide them through requirements gathering, and formulate a solution consisting of hardware, software, licensing, and engineering services.
• Create detailed solutions designs/architecture and present to customers.
• Create Bill of Materials & Configurations for solutions.
• Work with Account Manager/Sales Team to develop customer relationships and solutions to assist in the sales process.
• Create customer-facing presentations and perform product demonstrations.
• Build Scope of Services, Task Lists, and Professional Service Pricing.
• Collaborate with vendor peers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience.
• 7+ years of architecting and implementing complex Data Center solutions.
• Strong experience with Dell EMC (Servers, Storage and Data Protection), Cisco (servers & FC switching) and/or VMware (virtualization and SDDC).
• Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) experience with VxRail, HyperFlex and/or Nutanix.
• Proven design, sizing, and implementation experience with server compute, data protection, and storage solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Presales experience.
• Data Protection experience with Veeam, Rubrik, or Cohesity.
• AWS and/or Azure experience and certifications.
• Enterprise Networking knowledge and experience (Cisco/Juniper).
• Prior experience working for a system integrator or consulting organization.
• Experience migrating an on-premise to on-premise environments or on-premise to any cloud environment.
• Basic knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc).
• Basic knowledge of container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc).
