Sr. Cloud Solutions Architect

Remote-only candidates currently residing in Texas will be considered for this part-time, long-term contract role.

About the role

Responsible for assisting in the development and management of the client’s cloud computing and AI strategy, including cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and implementation. This position is also involved in executing these strategies to ensure the organization's objectives are met. You will work with the client’s team to guide best practices and consider hybrid solutions, cost, security, and scalability.

Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Ability to quickly learn new technologies or solutions independently. Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Microsoft cloud solutions at the enterprise level.
• Migrate on-premise applications to cloud-native environments.
• Design and maintain reliable, scalable, and high-performance cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure system security, compliance, and cost-efficiency of cloud solutions.
• Implement strategies to move workloads securely and efficiently.
• Utilize AI to improve processes and efficiencies.
• Build AI infrastructure and guide customer adoption (preferred).

Requirements

• 8 years of enterprise-level experience designing and implementing Microsoft cloud solutions (required).
• 8 years of experience working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities (required).
• 8 years of experience migrating on-premise applications to cloud-native environments (required).
• 8 years of experience designing and maintaining reliable, scalable, and high-performance cloud infrastructure (required).
• 8 years of experience ensuring system security, compliance, and cost-efficiency of cloud solutions (required).
• 8 years of experience implementing strategies to move workloads securely and efficiently (required).
• 2 years of experience utilizing AI to improve processes and efficiencies (required).
• 5 years of experience working with State Government agencies to establish a cloud presence (preferred).
• 3 years of experience coordinating/using vendor-provided support (preferred).
• 1 year of experience building AI infrastructure and guiding customer adoption (preferred).
