Sr. Software Engineer, Vendor Semantics and Developer Experience (Remote)

About the role

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery, working across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available. Compensation: $145,000 – $220,000 annually.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Vendor Schema Registry for tracking and parsing API specifications
• Implement the Semantic Validation Pipeline to ensure schema correctness against the ontology
• Design and maintain developer tools and documentation for product and ingest teams
• Collaborate with Knowledge Engineers to translate vendor schema constraints into the canonical model
• Enhance documentation and validation to enable downstream teams to work efficiently

Qualifications

• Strong background in software engineering with experience in schema parsing and validation
• Proficiency in programming languages like Go, Rust, and Python
• Deep understanding of API specifications, such as OpenAPI/Swagger and Smithy
• Practical knowledge of graph data models and their implications for schema design
• Instinct for enhancing developer experience through effective tooling and resources
• Mindset focused on correctness, understanding edge cases in vendor APIs
• Experience using AI technologies to improve workflow and decision-making
