About the role

Cox Fleet is seeking a Senior Shop Trailer Mechanic to join our dedicated team. This position requires a strong background in trailer maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform certified DOT inspections and preventive maintenance inspections
• Light and advanced repairs as assigned
• Manage concurrent assigned tasks and prioritize work activities
• Communicate with Shop Manager and support team for approvals and discussions
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair trailer equipment and systems
• Support Shop Trailer Technicians I/II with diagnostics and part identification
• Identify and recommend solutions for complex repairs

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in a related field
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for job duties
• OEM training and certifications preferred
• Current and valid DOT medical card with more than 4 months remaining until expiration
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of trailer parts and systems
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and walk for long periods
• Ability to accurately judge distances and communicate effectively
• Logic and reasoning to solve problems

USD 26.73 - 40.10 per hour
