About the Role

Join our team to deliver meaningful work supporting high-impact government missions. As a US-based SAP SuccessFactors Senior Project Manager, you will manage all aspects of assigned projects, interface with clients, project team members, and senior management to meet both client and company expectations. This role is within our Effective People division and involves overseeing large and small-scale IT projects from planning to closure.

Responsibilities

  • Wear multiple hats simultaneously (strategic and operational).
  • Manage PMO team operations, sales support, quality control, account management, and team management (10+ members).
  • Oversee 3+ simultaneous projects with 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Facilitate client relationship management, organic growth (upsell scope/projects), and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage SAP/NS2 and other strategic/internal relationships.
  • Lead, mentor, and support project managers in deploying SAP SuccessFactors projects.
  • Handle high-stress client escalations and negotiations.
  • Ensure quality and cost-effective services while identifying process/system improvements.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, peers, and external partners.
  • Serve as the single point of accountability for project success, aligning with client expectations and budget.
  • Track project costs, progress, and prepare cost-to-complete reports.
  • Obtain approvals for documentation and stage gates (e.g., requirements, testing results).
  • Create project plans, kickoff presentations, forecasts, and resource plans.
  • Maintain project documentation and deliver progress reports.
  • Conduct internal project review meetings and act as the project information source.
  • Monitor deliverables for quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, manage scope, and handle change management.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and forecasts.
  • Manage client communications and establish trusted partner relationships.
  • Serve as the primary client interface for schedule, budget, and scope.
  • Support proposal development by providing estimates for support activities.
  • Identify organic growth opportunities with clients.
  • Coordinate and direct project staff, maintaining a positive team environment.
  • Coach, counsel, and mentor project team members.
  • Identify and determine resources needed for potential projects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years managing projects, including defining scope, budget, and plans.
  • Experience managing SuccessFactors full-suite implementations.
  • Experience managing ECP payroll implementations.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet).
  • Experience with resource/financial management tools (e.g., Oracle, Salesforce).
  • Detailed, results-oriented individual with initiative to solve problems.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to share knowledge and mentor project teams.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Creative and analytical problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple internal/external organizations.
  • Multitask across multiple technical projects and daily operations.
  • US citizenship.
  • Ability to pass background checks and public trust clearance if required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing EC for SAP ECC Payroll customers remaining on ECC Payroll.
  • Experience with ECC Payroll to ECP Payroll implementations.
  • Willingness to stay current with SAP/SuccessFactors HCM technologies.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, practices, and future trends.
  • Experience configuring/implementing/supporting SAP HCM/Payroll or SuccessFactors modules.
  • Ability to elicit and document business requirements.
  • Knowledge of technical data processing procedures and best practices.

Work Environment

This is a remote role with sedentary work involving occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force. Tasks include typing, communicating, and repetitive motions. Close visual acuity is required for data analysis, computer work, and reading. The role operates in inside environmental conditions with protection from outside elements.
