Sr Respiratory Care Practitioner, Nights (NRP required)
About the role
The Sr Respiratory Care Practitioner will provide advanced respiratory care services to patients in a critical care setting. This position requires a minimum of four years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, with at least two years in a critical care level. Neonatal experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs advanced respiratory treatments such as intubation, EBUS, ECMO, etc., under the direction of physicians.
- Coordinates departmental activities and serves as a resource for specialized equipment and software implementation.
- Teaches, orients, and precepts new Respiratory Care Practitioners and students.
- Provides patient teaching and discharge planning based on individual needs.
- Assures quality and reliability of test results and troubleshoots equipment issues.
- Documents patient care activities accurately and efficiently.
- Participates in department and hospital quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care Program.
- Four years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, with at least two in a critical care level.
- Neonatal experience preferred.
- Required licenses and certifications: RCP, RRT, BLS, ACLS, NRP.
- Sufficient proficiency in English for patient and staff interactions.
- Ability to work independently and handle challenging situations.
- Strong interpersonal and team player skills.

- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in operating multiple systems.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Criminal justice, security, or related experience preferred.
