About the Role

As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a hands-on role in verifying, validating, and collecting data for new products and returned items requiring service and calibration. Your work ensures the highest level of precision, measurement traceability, and adherence to quality standards through inspection, auditing, and issue resolution. You will collaborate closely with Production, Service Teams, and the Quality Manager to detect, address, and report issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final quality audits to verify conformance to assembly drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Check work instructions, build travelers, and inspection records for accuracy and completion.
• Audit assembly processes for adherence to specifications, workmanship, and IPC standards.
• Record, classify, and escalate quality issues in real time using defined QMS tools.
• Work closely with engineers and technicians to identify root causes and validate corrections.
• Collect data to support Quality performance tracking for calibration and operational quality metrics.
• Assist in training build Operators and Technicians on quality criteria, defect awareness, and calibration requirements.

Work Environment

• Location: Onsite in Fort Collins, CO
• Environment: Production floor, calibration laboratory, and office setting

Requirements

• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and other assembly documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate findings clearly to Operators, Engineers, and Management.
• Computer proficiency for data entry, documentation, and reporting.
• Familiarity with QMS standards (ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 80079-34), calibration standards (ISO/IEC 17025), and workmanship standards (IPC-A-610) is desired.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of hands-on experience in Quality Inspection in a Production or Service environment.
• Diploma or technical certification in Electronics, Mechanical, or Quality disciplines.

Pay

The range of starting pay for this role is $50,000 – $70,000 per year, influenced by factors such as skill set, level of experience, and location.
