About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial assets in San Diego, California. This is a contract position requiring onsite support and close collaboration with an established internal property management team. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with Class A office environments, a solid grasp of lease administration, and the ability to work effectively within defined policies and operating procedures.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations for assigned commercial properties, ensuring consistent service delivery and alignment with ownership expectations.
- Partner with the internal property management team to follow established workflows, documentation standards, and operational protocols.
- Review tenant lease terms and help ensure landlord obligations, critical dates, and property commitments are properly managed.
- Conduct site walks, participate in broker tours, and support property inspections based on business needs.
- Supervise and provide direction to the Property Administrator, helping maintain efficient administrative and operational support.
- Track property performance data, prepare reports, and use Excel to analyze trends, budgets, and operating information.
- Support annual budgeting activities and contribute to financial planning processes in coordination with the accounting team.
- Coordinate with vendors, building staff, and onsite services to maintain efficient property operations and tenant satisfaction.
Requirements
- Prior experience managing commercial real estate properties, with a strong background in Class A office environments.
- Proven knowledge of lease administration and a clear understanding of tenant and landlord responsibilities.
- Hands-on experience using MRI is required.
- Proficiency in Excel with the ability to interpret data and support reporting or budgeting decisions.
- Ability to work in-office in San Diego, California in a structured, process-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently follow established procedures, forms, and policies.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with internal teams, tenants, and external partners.
- Experience with Yardi or other property management platforms is preferred.
