Sr. Program Manager, WHS Standards and Procedures, Workplace Health and Safety - Compliance, Governance and External Affairs

About the role

The Sr. Program Manager, WHS Standards and Procedures, will lead and deliver medium to large, cross-functional WHS procedures that serve major parts of the business. These may also be global in nature. They will develop, review, approve and improve internal policies and procedures in compliance with the countries WHS legal and Amazon Global Standards requirements. They will implement and track WHS programs and provide execution support to field operations. They will drive WHS programs and best practice standardization at both Regional and Global level. They will recommend improvements to programs scoping, building, testing and deployment across the company.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver medium to large, cross-functional WHS procedures that serve major parts of the business. These may also be global in nature.
• Develop, review, approve and improve internal policies and procedures in the respect of the countries WHS legal and Amazon Global Standards requirements.
• Implement and track WHS programs and provide execution support to field operations.
• Drive WHS programs and best practice standardization at both Regional and Global level.
• Recommend improvements to programs scoping, building, testing and deployment across the company.
• Partner with key stakeholders such as RME, Procurement, SLeD, Compliance Assurance, Audits, Legal, etc in the development and continued improvement of high-risk operations procedures.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
• Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety or a related field
