Sr. Program Manager, Transactional Tax PMO

About the role

Amazon is seeking a Tax Program Manager to join the Finance Organization and drive significant domestic and international projects. The Tax Program Manager will be responsible for driving important projects that often focus on restructuring efforts and typically involving cross-functional teams, including accounting, finance, legal, HR and tech teams. This position requires regular communication with stakeholders and executive leadership on status, risks and strategy. The Tax Program Manager will create and manage milestone schedules, create meeting agendas, lead recurring meetings and will be responsible for ensuring critical project dates are met. The Tax Program Manager will also assist the team in identifying areas of process improvement and providing operational support and updating stakeholders while looking for opportunities to leverage GenAI to streamline efforts. While a deep tax/finance and technical background are not required, familiarity with both domains will be helpful. This role is for a program manager on the North America Stores Transactional Tax PMO team and will assist in supporting key business initiatives, internal re-organizations and managing operational activities.
