Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the organization-wide expert on key audiences and the competitive landscape for energy management/utility services and B2B solutions.
- Resolve complex positioning challenges by evaluating variable factors and translating deep market analysis into actionable business strategy.
- Determine the marketing plan and budget for supported products and verticals.
- Lead the cross-functional implementation of these plans to drive engagement from existing customers and the acquisition of new B2B partners.
- Plan and lead the launches of net-new features and products (primarily for the U.S. market).
- Determine methods and procedures on new assignments and lead others informally to execute the plan.
- Document and evaluate the partner and consumer user journey; exercise independent judgment to drive strategic changes to sales and marketing processes based on in-depth evaluation of data.
- Assess and report on the effectiveness of marketing programs. Regularly advise executive leadership on required tactical changes, understanding that your decisions are critical to departmental operations and costs.
Thought Leadership & Persuasion
- Act as the primary thought leader for your supported verticals externally.
- Network with key contacts outside your area of expertise and adapt your style to deliver persuasive messages that relate to the wider firm business.
Channel Enablement & Mentorship
- Serve as a best-practice resource for sales channels.
- Train and mentor junior staff on complex solution selling, and develop the sophisticated internal tools and external collateral required for the field.
Strategic Collaboration
- Lead co-marketing campaigns with Energy & Builder service partners.
- Understand the interrelationships of different disciplines to deliver high-impact, user-facing material for partner applications.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

On Day One (Required Qualifications)
- 8+ years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related
- Advanced experience launching products into the Energy/Utility or Multifamily/Smart Apartment verticals is preferred
- Proven ability to resolve complex models and procedures in creative and effective ways, using in-depth professional knowledge and acumen
- Exceptional copywriting and interpersonal skills, with the ability to frequently advise others on complex matters and deliver messages to the wider firm
- Demonstrated experience in determining methods and procedures for new, high-impact assignments
- Experience leading functional teams or projects and a track record of training or mentoring junior staff
Compensation
The compensation range for this contract role is between $70 and $80 per hour, commensurate with experience, expertise, and market alignment. The anticipated workload is 40 hours per week.
