About the role
Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) enables customers of all sizes to run their applications on our industry leading cloud infrastructure. As customers around the world move to the cloud, we need high-powered Product Managers to understand how customers in different geographies, deploy, manage, and pay for their current infrastructure and how EC2 should adjust our pricing and product capabilities and positioning to fit the unique needs of our global customer base. Customers around the world rely on Amazon EC2 to provide elastic, high performance, secure, and cost-effective resources to scale their infrastructure to keep up with their changing business needs.
Responsibilities
- Define high-quality roadmaps based on team strategy and vision
- Develop detailed, crisp business narratives and user stories that can be used to create pricing strategies, product specifications, and new features
- Work closely with product and service leaders, sales teams, solution architects, business development, and engineering teams to solve complex product and pricing issues
- Manage prioritization and trade-offs between customer experience, performance, and operational support load
- Develop high quality reporting for executive leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related technical field
- Experience with roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience working with engineering and product teams to define a product and bring it to market
- Experience in technical product or program management
- Experience conversing with senior customer stakeholders including Directors and VPs of procurement, CPOs, VP’s supply chain, and CIOs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- MBA, or Master's degree
- Knowledge of advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools (familiarity with Tableau preferred)
- Experience with coding/scripting in one or more languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PowerShell)
- Experience with communication, presentation, and negotiation
