About the role
The AI Product Owner for Customer Zero plays a pivotal role in transforming Workday’s internal operations into a proving ground for innovation. This position requires a deep understanding of AI product lifecycle, cross-team collaboration, and the ability to simplify ambiguity and prioritize effectively.
Responsibilities
- Partner with internal business leaders to identify high-impact problems that can be solved using Workday’s product suite.
- Architect and deliver AI-powered solutions by working closely with engineering, UX, and business stakeholders.
- Provide continuous feedback to internal teams, translating internal "pains" into actionable product requirements and identifying gaps.
- Define and operationalize success metrics, guiding rapid iteration with data-driven insights.
- Manage stakeholder alignment, setting clear expectations and communicating roadmap progress.
- Champion Workday solutions, sharing internal success stories and best practices with external customers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of product management experience in enterprise domains (IT, HR, Finance preferred).
- 3+ years building AI/ML or GenAI-powered products.
- 3+ years of experience with AI product infrastructure.
- Technical proficiency with AI and LLM-powered technology.
- Proven track record of end-to-end product delivery from concept to scale with measurable business impact.
- Demonstrated experience translating complex workflows into scalable product solutions.
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of AI product lifecycle, including experimentation loops, evaluation, and iteration using qualitative and quantitative data.
- Mastery in leading cross-team collaboration, effectively working and influencing cross-functionally to define and deliver complex product strategies and initiatives.
- Expert ability to simplify ambiguity, break down complex problems, and prioritize effectively in alignment with business objectives.
- Experience defining and operationalizing success metrics, and using them to guide decisions.
- Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to articulate strategy and recommendations clearly.
- Comfort operating in fast-paced environments, with resilience and bias toward action.
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay
- Annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and additional locations are provided.
- The pay range for this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
