About the role
Amazon EC2 is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the future of cloud computing. Customers rely on Amazon EC2 for elastic, high-performance, secure, and cost-effective resources to scale their infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Help build worldwide pricing strategy and pricing models for cloud adoption and migrations
- Develop innovative pricing models to win more private pricing deals
- Own the Deal Intake Module within Deal Management Console
- Collaborate with Deals Desk, Strategic Customer Engagement, Specialist Organization, Go-To-Market, and Account Teams to develop pricing strategies
- Manage prioritization and trade-offs between customer experience, performance, and operational support
- Act as the Service-level approver for AWS' largest private deals
- Partner with AWS Fintech to integrate pricing optimization functionality into Deal Management Console
- Establish metrics to ensure pricing and implementation meet/exceed expectations
- Shadow deal requests and co-write private pricing strategy papers
- Support on-call availability to answer customer questions about pricing and implementation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
Qualifications
- Passion for developer-focused products
- Ability to define pricing and product solutions working across a wide range of customers and other internal and external stakeholders
- Instinctive understanding of a good product, and ability to raise the bar on customer-focused thinking end to end among team members with reasoned, data-driven analysis
- Ability to dive into technical details and ask engineers insightful questions about the services and dependencies you influence
