Sr Product Manager - Tech, EC2 Core Product Management, dbrown Team

About the Role

Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) is looking for a Senior Product Manager to help define and build the future of cloud computing. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in solving challenges for our large and strategic customers, defining products, go-to-market strategy, and tirelessly championing the needs of our customers. Given the breadth of the EC2 service this role will require coordination across many internal and external teams and will be visible at the highest levels of the company.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Define high-quality roadmaps based on team strategy and vision
• Develop detailed, crisp business narratives and user stories that can be used to create pricing strategies, product specifications and new features
• Define business cases, competitive analysis, pricing analysis, and financial (P&L) models
• Work closely with product and service leaders, sales teams, solution architects, business development and engineering teams to solve complex product and pricing issues
• Become the subject matter expert on specific services and use cases; recommend features, functionality, and tools to help customers more easily adopt AWS products and services
• Manage prioritization and trade-offs between customer experience, performance and operational support load
• Develop high quality reporting for executive leadership

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
• Experience managing technical products or online services
• Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related technical field
• Experience with roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
• Experience working with engineering and product teams to define a product and bring it to market
• Experience in technical product or program management
• Experience conversing with senior customer stakeholders including Directors and VPs of procurement, CPOs, VP's supply chain, and CIOs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
• Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
• MBA, or Master's degree
• Experience with financial analysis and modeling
• Knowledge of advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools (familiarity with Tableau preferred)
• Experience with coding/scripting in one or more languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PowerShell)
• Experience with communication, presentation, and negotiation
• MS in Computer Science / Engineering / Mathematics
