Sr. Product Manager — Tech, Amazon LEO, Amazon Leo

Amazon · Redmond, WA · Today
Project ManagementFull-time

About the role

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable broadband connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From households to small businesses, schools, hospitals, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve communities and organizations operating in places without dependable internet access.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product experience end-to-end. What LEO builds based on customer needs, and technical feasibility.
  • Develop subject matter expertise, own the "what" and "why" and not just the backlog.
  • Drive product strategy across customer segments. Define and analyze subscription lifecycle models, pricing and packaging strategies, and appropriate KPIs for different customer segments, whether consumer, enterprise, or government.
  • Use data to validate assumptions, refine positioning, and inform prioritization.
  • Engage directly with customers and technical teams. Spend time with customers to understand how they experience connectivity challenges. Contribute meaningfully to engineering and business discussions around eCommerce workflows, technology decisions, system architecture, and implementation trade-offs.
  • Lead executive-level prioritization and planning. Represent and advocate for diverse customer needs during leadership reviews. Present data-driven analysis, frame strategic trade-offs, and make clear recommendations.
  • Define success metrics that matter. Establish KPIs and SLAs that reflect genuine customer outcomes and business health — not vanity metrics. Track adoption patterns, analyze product-market fit signals, and use insights to continuously refine strategy and prioritization.
  • Report results to senior leadership with precision and context.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
  • 5+ years of technical product management experience owning delivery, stakeholder management, and product implementation
  • Experience owning a product area in at least one of the following domain areas: Finance, Tax, or Accounting
  • Experience managing technical products or online services at scale

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements within the telecommunications sector experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
  • Deep understanding of customer needs for modern telecommunication services — particularly within high-scale fixed, wireless, or satellite broadband services
  • Experience defining subscription lifecycle models, market strategies, and KPIs for multi-segment products
  • Experience using analytical tools and data analysis to surface product insights and inform strategic decisions
  • Track record of authoring high-quality working backwards documents and business requirements documents that drove successful product launches

Skills

  • Fluency in both the customer reality and the technical constraints
  • Ability to navigate the unique challenge of building products where the network is in orbit, the customers are global, and the experience must feel as simple as flipping a switch

Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
