Sr. Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Subject Matter Expert (SME) - U.S. Citizenship Required
CGI is seeking a high-potential Senior Procure-to-Pay (P2P) subject matter expert (SME) with experience in procure to pay processes for the federal government.
About the role
The successful candidate will work closely with clients to lead workshops, understand requirements, design and present solutions, configure systems, and complete full software lifecycle implementations for procure-to-pay business processes in the federal government. The primary focus is on design, configuration, and testing within financial and procure-to-pay modules in SAP (FI) for the Public Sector, with opportunities to grow and mentor an agile team. This role requires a strong understanding of Federal Financial Accounting processes and solutions.
This position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA, Lebanon, VA, Lafayette, LA, or Knoxville, TN. A hybrid working model is acceptable, with a requirement to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the implementation of requirements, design solutions, and configure SAP Procure-to-Pay processes for the Public Sector to enhance client business functionality and performance while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Lead workshops to review business requirements and translate them into system requirements and procure-to-pay functions.
- Act as a liaison with clients for troubleshooting, including investigating, analyzing, and resolving software issues.
- Map client business requirements, processes, and objectives, and develop necessary product modifications to meet client needs.
- Perform design, configuration, and testing of the FI modules in SAP S/4HANA to support procure-to-pay teams.
- Create Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and support the creation of Technical Design Documents (TDDs) and To-Be Procure-to-Pay process designs for SAP FI solutions.
- Provide federal financial accounting expertise, guidance, presentation, and instruction on procure-to-pay processes to clients.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required due to government contract and clearance requirements. Candidates must successfully pass a CGI background check prior to beginning work and be able to obtain and maintain a DHS/CISA EOD/Public Trust clearance.
- A minimum of 6 years of business consulting experience in procure-to-pay processes and federal financial accounting.
- Knowledge of financial management best practices, including demos, test scripts, and functional/technical design documents.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
- Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills; ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in integration with SAP Application areas such as Finance (FI) and Accounts Payable (AP).
- Knowledge of key integration points between SAP modules.
- Experience with end-to-end SAP implementations.
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA.
Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 - $218,200.00.
