Sr. Principal Scientist, Stores Economics and Science
About the role
The Sr. Principal Scientist, Stores Economics and Science provides structure around complex business problems, works with machine learning scientists to estimate and validate their models on large scale data, and helps business and tech partners turn analysis into impactful policies, programs, and actions.
Responsibilities
- Owns the development of scientific models and manages data analysis, modeling, and experimentation.
- Collaborates with business partners to communicate the properties of analysis/models and incorporates their feedback and requests.
- Combines economic toolbox with desire to learn from others and executes and delivers on big ideas.
Requirements
- PhD in Economics, Computer Science, Operations Research or related field.
- Experience in industry, consulting, government, or academic research.
- Coding ability in a scripting language such as R, Python, Matlab, or STATA.
Qualifications
- Strong track record in performing high-quality analysis of data at scale.
Skills
Experience in applied economic analysis is essential, and familiarity with modern tools for data science and business analysis is preferred.

Pay
Base salary range: $276,100.00 - $350,000.00 USD annually for USA, CA, Palo Alto; $240,100.00 - $324,800.00 USD annually for USA, WA, Seattle.
