About the role

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Sr. Principal Engineer Electronics – Mission Processing/Supplier Interface to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at our Melbourne, FL site.

Responsibilities

• Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams and specifications
• Collaborate with engineers and program stakeholders to integrate mission management subsystems to meet platform mission objectives
• Technical management of program strategic partners and suppliers, including development, acquisition, acceptance, qualification, system integration and test support
• Developing supplier documentation, performance-based specifications, and statements of work
• Building supplier evaluation criteria and experience in conducting technical evaluations, documenting results and selection
• Review documents from the supplier’s development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviews

Requirements

• Must possess in-depth knowledge of computers and electronics for mission processing, displays data storage, Networks, CDS/MLS, Crypto
• Experience in the definition, design, integration, test, and certification of related hardware and software requirements
• Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering, or Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 6 years of related professional/military experience.
• Active In-Scope DoD Secret clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Active In-Scope DoD Top Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing model-based systems engineering products and/or Mission Engineering in Cameo or similar tools
• Familiarity with network, commercial cloud, platform infrastructures and containerized software architecture
• Familiarity with Digital Engineering processes and environments

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00
