About the role

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to join the Alexa Devices team and help build Alexa+. In this role, you will lead the concept, development, and launch of Alexa devices, working closely with a high-energy team consisting of hardware, OS, software engineering, user experience, finance, marketing, customer service, and Amazon leadership. You will ship devices to customers globally, manage high-complexity product development cycles, and make critical one-way door decisions. This role involves working on hardware systems and platform software/OS, collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and innovating new devices, features, and experiences while ensuring operational rigor.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operational relationships with support teams and internal operations business partners to drive increased performance.
  • Demonstrate analytical and quantitative skills, using hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
  • Effectively interact and collaborate with customers, project sponsors, technical product managers, and multiple internal teams to define and deliver complex solutions.
  • Proactively recognize and drive opportunities to simplify processes.
  • Contribute to and influence technical designs.
  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.
  • Lead the effective and efficient delivery of large, complex technical projects and programs.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, and balance business needs with technical constraints.
  • Identify, assess, track, and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels.
  • Create, maintain, and disseminate program information to stakeholders.
  • Travel up to 25%.

As a Senior Program Manager at Alexa, your days are filled with exciting challenges. You'll lead team meetings to review campaign planning, orchestrate cross-functional collaborations to launch new products/features, and analyze performance data to drive future initiatives. One moment you're brainstorming global strategies, the next you're coordinating with stakeholders to keep multiple campaigns on track. Your role is key in shaping the future of Alexa devices and connecting millions of customers worldwide with seamless experiences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Experience with end-to-end product delivery.
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
  • Experience managing technical products or online services.
  • Experience representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, or QuickSight.
  • Experience building and driving adoption of new tools.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is:

  • USA, CA, Sunnyvale: $173,900.00 - $235,200.00 USD annually
  • USA, VA, Arlington: $151,200.00 - $204,600.00 USD annually
  • USA, WA, Seattle: $151,200.00 - $204,600.00 USD annually

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
