About the role

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to join the Alexa Devices team and help build Alexa+. In this role, you will lead the concept, development, and launch of Alexa devices, working closely with a high-energy team of hardware, OS, software engineering, user experience, finance, marketing, customer service, and Amazon leadership to ship devices globally. You will navigate high-complexity product development cycles, make critical one-way door decisions, and work on hardware systems and platform software/OS. This role offers visibility at the highest levels of Amazon Devices' leadership and involves innovating new devices, features, and experiences while managing operational rigor to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational relationships with support teams and internal operations business partners to drive increased performance.
• Demonstrate analytical and quantitative skills, using hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
• Collaborate with customers, project sponsors, technical product managers, and multiple internal teams to define and deliver complex solutions.
• Proactively recognize and drive opportunities to simplify processes.
• Contribute to and influence technical designs.
• Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.
• Lead the effective and efficient delivery of large, complex technical projects and programs.
• Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, and balance business needs with technical constraints.
• Identify, assess, track, and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels.
• Create, maintain, and disseminate program information to stakeholders.
• Travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
• Experience with end-to-end product delivery.
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
• Experience managing technical products or online services.
• Experience representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, or QuickSight.
• Experience building and driving adoption of new tools.

Pay

• USA, CA, Sunnyvale: $173,900.00 - $235,200.00 USD annually
• USA, VA, Arlington: $151,200.00 - $204,600.00 USD annually
• USA, WA, Seattle: $151,200.00 - $204,600.00 USD annually
