Sr. Planner/Scheduler
About the Role
As a Sr. Planner/Scheduler at Rolls-Royce, you will lead production planning activities to ensure on-time product delivery while balancing customer demand, supplier performance, inventory, and material availability. Acting as a key liaison between Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations, this role develops and executes production plans, drives continuous improvement, mitigates supply chain risks, and uses data-driven decision-making to support business objectives.

Responsibilities
- Optimize inventory levels by managing safety stock, monitoring excess and obsolete inventory, and adjusting purchase orders to support production requirements while meeting supplier delivery targets.
- Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and capacity planning to align production with customer demand and business objectives.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics—including On-Time Delivery (OTD), schedule adherence, inventory turns, forecast accuracy, capacity utilization, and past-due orders—to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
- Prepare performance reports and dashboards for leadership, providing data-driven insights and recommending corrective actions to improve operational performance.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field plus 4 years of experience in procurement, supplier, or materials management, OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience in procurement, supplier, or materials management, OR
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field, OR
- JD/PhD in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field, OR
- 6+ years of experience in procurement, supplier, or materials management, in lieu of a degree.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Good overall knowledge and understanding of the product.
- APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD) preferred.
- Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Experience with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), demand planning, and capacity planning processes.
- Good knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (SAP preferred).

Pay
$68,255 - $110,915 annually.
