Qualifications
- A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a professional architectural/engineering firm, government affairs experience, strong leadership, analytical and negotiating skills.
- This position requires an understanding of architecture/engineering and building construction, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to persuasively speak before large groups.
- The ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships internally and externally.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to organize and implement several concurrent projects and exercise sound judgment in prioritizing.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities/Skills
- Responsible for creating and reviewing Due Diligence Reports, Site Investigation Reports (SIR), Signage
- Processes permit, projects, reports and correspondences with regulatory agencies and personnel at the local, state and federal level, assuring that all processes and procedures are documented and adhere to regulations.
- File reports and letters with regulatory agencies and are imperative to daily business functions.
- Adds addresses all questions and correspondences dealing with specific permits and projects.
- Meets with clients regarding all issues of the permit process.
- Creates reports needed to comply with Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies.
- Collections and reviews all plans, permits, and reports before sending them to agencies.
- Represents company in in-house and outside meetings with agencies, vendors, clients, and industry personnel.
- Attends meetings with different agencies and personnel with the purpose of expediting the permit process.
- Prioritizes projects in regard to timeline and budget.

Work Environment
- Must be able to handle stressful situations, multi-tasking, and working within reasonable time constraints to meet production schedules and budgets.
- Will work in normal office environment and may also be required to work outside of a normal office from time-to-time.
