About the Role
We are filling multiple Creative Strategist roles (from Creative Strategist to Creative Strategist Lead) for DTC/eCommerce agencies. This is performance creative work focused on hooks, angles, UGC concepts, and testing frameworks for client accounts with real budgets and data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine creative strategies, including hooks, angles, and UGC concepts, using performance data to guide decisions.
- Analyze and articulate what makes creative elements (hooks, claims, scripts) effective, using structured frameworks like message hierarchy, clarity, differentiation, objection handling, social proof, and CTAs.
- Review and provide systematic feedback on creative work to elevate its performance.
- Interpret performance metrics such as CTR, CVR, CAC, MER/ROAS, thumb stop, and hold rate to optimize creative testing and variation testing.
- Manage creative strategy for multiple brands simultaneously, ensuring ongoing batches of high-performing content.
- Collaborate with sophisticated clients, incorporating sharp feedback to improve creative output.
- For Lead-level roles: Mentor and manage other strategists/writers, and own creative strategy for specific client accounts.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in creative strategy, copywriting, or creative direction within DTC/eCommerce (agency or in-house).
- Direct experience writing or directing UGC-style ad content, including hooks, scripts, and concepts.
- Working knowledge of core performance metrics: CTR, CVR, CAC, MER/ROAS, hook/hold rate.
- Experience running or contributing to structured creative testing (hook testing, variation testing, iterative optimization).
- For Lead-level roles: Prior experience managing or mentoring other strategists/writers and owning creative strategy for client accounts.
Qualifications
- A sharp, discerning eye for strong creative, with the ability to articulate why certain elements work.
- Deep expertise in DTC/UGC concepts, hooks, and creator directions.
- Experience operating at scale, managing creative across multiple brands simultaneously.
- A natural coach, capable of reviewing others' work and providing actionable feedback to improve scripts from good to great.
- Direct experience working with DTC and/or eCommerce clients (required; candidates without this background will not be considered).
