People Operations Partner (or Sr. People Ops Partner, level depends on experience) open in the North Central District. Exact location to be determined.

About the role

The Sr People Operations Partner leads day-to-day HR activities for assigned facilities and drives human resources projects. This role applies expertise in selection, retention, and employee relations, along with deep knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and federal/state employment laws to support the organization. May provide guidance and share best practices on sourcing and employee relations with People Operations Partners.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge of HR practices, guidelines, and regulations to monitor and advise on compliance with employment laws, FedEx policies, and processes.
  • Identifies and/or conducts investigations on employee relations issues in a timely manner and provides recommendations.
  • Provides advice to management and responds to employee inquiries.
  • Engages all levels of internal customers in assigned facilities through activities, meetings, special events, and handles issues/questions.
  • Leads full-cycle staffing development and execution, including talent acquisition, sourcing, recruiting, affirmative action efforts, pre-employment screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Leads talent acquisition activities, including peak planning and outreach events; builds relationships with schools and community organizations.
  • Partners with professionals and managers to develop/facilitate programs supporting business objectives, corporate initiatives, and individual development.
  • Provides guidance on talent acquisition plans and collaborates with business partners to reduce voluntary turnover and increase employee engagement.
  • Participates in engagement/retention events and compliance activities; follows up on action plans.
  • Works with hiring managers on pay review recommendations and provides guidance on pay guidelines.
  • Involved in projects such as the annual merit process, delivering guidance to managers.
  • Leads complex HR projects as assigned by the Manager and partners with them to implement key HR initiatives.
  • May be assigned to work at multiple locations, requiring travel; other travel may be needed based on assignments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Liberal Arts, or a related discipline (required).
  • In lieu of a degree, a high school diploma/GED with five (5) years of minimum experience and an additional four (4) years as an HR Generalist or in employee relations may be accepted.
  • Five (5) years of professional HR experience, with at least two (2) years in employee relations or as an HR Generalist (preferred).

Pay

67,947 - 98,934 USD annually.
