About the role

In this role, you will lead cross-functional program teams to deliver innovative product development and lifecycle initiatives that improve patient outcomes. As a Sr. PD Program Manager, you will play a critical role in driving execution excellence, enabling strategic alignment, and advancing Medtronic’s product development programs within the Interventional Cardiology Therapies PMO team.

Responsibilities

  • Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products, processes and therapies.
  • Defines and executes operational aspects of product development programs including: schedule, project risk identification and mitigation plans, issue management, program management owned deliverable, budget and resource forecasting.
  • Makes sure program progress and status are monitored through defined program objectives, KPIs, schedule progress, risk burndown, and effective issue mitigation and resolution strategies.
  • Develops mechanisms for tracking program performance, ensuring accountability, and enabling proactive intervention.
  • Drives strategic and executional alignment across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and other partner functions within program team.
  • Creates clear and concise program updates, risks, and recommendations for use in communication with leadership.

Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree required, 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • Nice to Have: Advanced degree (MS, MBA, or equivalent) and/or PMP certification, experience managing both small scale and large-scale medical device product development programs through multiple phases with demonstrated success in driving execution, managing risk, and delivering results, experience with medical device product development (PDP / design controls), proven ability to influence without authority in a global, matrixed organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • Advanced degree (MS, MBA, or equivalent) and/or PMP certification preferred.
  • Experience managing both small scale and large-scale medical device product development programs through multiple phases with demonstrated success in driving execution, managing risk, and delivering results.
  • Experience with medical device product development (PDP / design controls).
  • Proven ability to influence without authority in a global, matrixed organization.
