Sr. Payroll Analyst

Job Summary

Enter, maintain, and process employee payroll information including compensation, time worked, paid leave, deductions, and address changes in the payroll system. Review and reconcile time sheets, work charts, and wage computations to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Validate 401K changes as provided by the Benefits Team. Process US payrolls for regular, terminations, and off-cycle payments accurately and on schedule. Ensure accurate payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other items. Reconcile payroll with the general ledger and monthly bank statements. Process new hire paperwork and verify employee data in the payroll system. Assist with Federal and State tax processes and conduct research as needed. Perform post-payroll audits and generate audit reports. Maintain and update payroll records including exemptions, transfers, garnishments, and resignations. Process and issue employee payments, earnings statements, and deduction reports. Compile and analyze employee time, production, and payroll data. Issue and record pay adjustments for errors or retroactive changes. Process final payments according to state laws and regulations. Record and process federal and state payroll tax deposits. Maintain documentation for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Support internal and external audit requests. Conduct payroll testing as required. Handle verifications of employment. Manage court-ordered garnishments and levies through ADP. Assist with year-end payroll processes. Handle payroll-related mail and correspondence.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of related payroll experience required.
• Associate degree preferred and/or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification.
• Strong experience with Oracle/PeopleSoft (North America Payroll) REQUIRED.
• Knowledge of SOX, FLSA, state, and global payroll compliance, including expats, inpats, secondment payrolls, and equalization.
• Global payroll processing experience.
• Familiarity with local, federal, and global statutory and labor law requirements.
• Must be local to Morgan City, LA, and able to attend onsite interviews (no virtual interviews).
