About the role
The Senior Payroll Analyst will handle complex payroll tasks for Archer, a leading aerospace company focused on sustainable air mobility. The role involves managing payroll for over 1000 employees across 38 states, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Responsibilities
- Full-cycle processing of semi-monthly US payroll for 1000+ employees in a multi-state environment.
- Create and maintain reconciliation reports for 401k, benefits, and equity awards at month-end, fiscal year-end, and calendar year-end.
- Prepare and key multiple journal entries for payroll-related items, including handling garnishments and key audits.
- Research and advise on complex payroll transactions and recommend scalable processes to improve efficiency.
- Assist with implementing and maintaining standard operating procedures and assist with other payroll-related projects.
- Provide standard and ad-hoc payroll reports to various internal departments.
- Reconcile and validate 401(k)/Roth contributions and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain good recordkeeping practices and payroll files.
- Manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing for over 1000 employees.
- Comprehensive knowledge of payroll compliance and federal/state employment laws.
- 5+ years of experience in payroll functions, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using ADP WorkforceNow for payroll processing.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-growing organization.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Suite.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with ADP WorkforceNow.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience with payroll compliance and state/federal employment laws.
Skills

Benefits
Archer offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $108,480 - $135,600, depending on experience and qualifications.
