Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end payroll operations for US and Canadian employees across multiple cycles
- Act as primary payroll point of contact for employee inquiries and internal stakeholders
- Lead payroll system operations in Workday, managing deductions, uploads, and reports
- Manage equity compensation payroll events in collaboration with Stock Administration
- Support month-end close by preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts
- Ensure compliance with US and Canadian payroll regulations
- Drive process improvements and identify automation opportunities
Qualifications
- 5+ years managing payroll in Workday, primarily using Workday Payroll
- Experience processing full-cycle payroll for US (multi-state) and Canadian employees
- Knowledge of equity compensation payroll, including RSU, NSO, and ISO taxation
- Experience in month-end close activities and payroll GL account reconciliation
- Strong understanding of US and Canadian payroll regulations
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
