Sr. Paralegal
About the role
NinjaTrader Group, LLC is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and proactive Sr. Paralegal to support its in-house legal team across a diverse and growing FinTech business.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of litigation support, including coordinating document preservation, collection, review, production, and discovery responses
- Manage subpoena responses, regulatory inquiries, and third-party information requests, partnering with business stakeholders and outside counsel as needed
- Own the legal hold program, including implementation, tracking, monitoring compliance, and maintaining document preservation protocols
- Administer the contract lifecycle management processes, including tracking, maintaining, organizing, and reporting on legal agreements and obligations
- Prepare, review, and coordinate corporate, regulatory, and governance filings across multiple affiliated entities
- Maintain and oversee corporate records, minute books, governance documentation, and entity management activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Manage legal department calendaring, including litigation deadlines, regulatory filings, corporate obligations, and key compliance milestones
- Coordinate and oversee outside counsel engagement and billing processes, including invoice review, budget tracking, accrual support, and legal spend management
- Partner directly with internal business teams, compliance, finance, operations, and executive leadership on legal and regulatory matters
- Conduct legal, regulatory, and industry research and prepare summaries, analyses, and recommendations for attorneys and business stakeholders
- Support compliance initiatives, policy development, regulatory examinations, audits, and internal governance programs
- Identify opportunities to improve legal operations, implement process enhancements, and help develop scalable legal workflows and best practices
- Aid attorneys with corporate transactions, strategic initiatives, and special projects as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred
- 7+ years of paralegal experience, preferably supporting in-house legal departments, financial services organizations, or FinTech companies
- Strong experience supporting litigation matters, discovery processes, subpoena responses, and document management
- Demonstrated experience managing contract administration and corporate governance records
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and project management capabilities
- Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and legal document management systems
- Experience working with regulated entities, including broker-dealers, futures commission merchants (FCMs), or other financial institutions
Qualifications
- Familiarity with futures industry regulations, including CFTC and NFA requirements
- Experience managing e-discovery platforms, legal hold software, and litigation support tools
- Experience with legal billing, matter management, and contract lifecycle management systems
- Exposure to corporate governance frameworks and entity management

Pay
The salary range for this role will be $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 USD. In addition, this position will also receive an annual target bonus of 8%. Bonus pay at NinjaTrader is based on individual performance (50%) as well as company/team performance (50%).
Schedule
This role is based in Chicago, IL. We are not open to remote candidates for this role. Hybrid: For Chicago-based employees, we follow a hybrid work schedule: In-office Tuesday through Thursday, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays. In addition to these weekly remote days, we offer: 20 additional flex remote days annually 5 Company Wide Office-Optional weeks tied to major holidays.
