Responsibilities
- Manage electronic submissions for matters in state and federal trial and appellate courts, ensuring filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Track hearings, deadlines, and other key case milestones through careful calendaring and ongoing follow-up to support timely compliance.
- Build and maintain organized case files, including pleadings, exhibit materials, witness information, trial binders, and supporting indexes.
- Examine incoming legal documents such as motions, orders, contracts, and related records, then route and process them appropriately.
- Analyze deposition transcripts and case records by preparing summaries, outlines, and reference tools for attorney use.
- Support preparation for depositions, hearings, and trial by assembling materials, coordinating logistics, and managing documentation.
- Partner with attorneys and other legal team members to provide day-to-day litigation and administrative assistance across active matters.
- Communicate case updates, document needs, and scheduling information clearly with attorneys, paralegals, and other internal stakeholders.
- Maintain complete and accurate matter documentation while following court rules, procedural requirements, and applicable legal standards.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of paralegal experience supporting litigation matters.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, service-oriented litigation environment.
- Hands-on experience with court filings in state and federal jurisdictions.
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, legal documentation, and trial preparation activities.
- Prioritize and manage multiple deadlines and maintain highly organized case records.
- Skilled in reviewing and summarizing deposition transcripts and other case-related materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certification preferred.
- Oil & Gas experience is a plus.
