Sr. Oracle SQL Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programs.
• Write simple and complex SQL queries from scratch against normalized Oracle transactional databases.
• Analyze business requirements and determine the appropriate tables, relationships, joins, and business rules needed to answer complex business questions.
• Extract, validate, transform, and analyze operational data for reporting, research, grants, and executive requests.
• Develop and maintain automated SQL processes, scheduled database jobs, and recurring data refreshes.
• Troubleshoot SQL scripts, automated jobs, and data quality issues.
• Create efficient, reusable, and well-documented SQL code.
• Support recurring operational reports, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), legislative reporting, and research initiatives.
• Collaborate with business users to understand reporting needs and communicate analytical findings.
• Support Tableau dashboards and other data visualization initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle SQL development and maintenance.
• Experience with PL/SQL programming and Oracle database architecture.
• Strong understanding of SQL concepts, including normalization, indexing, and query optimization.
• Proficiency in using Oracle SQL Developer, SQL*Plus, and other SQL tools.
• Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
