Job Summary
PACCAR Engine Company in Columbus, Mississippi seeks a Sr. MRO Buyer to manage relationships with suppliers of MRO products and services. The position involves sourcing, negotiating, and implementing strategies to reduce costs, improve supply chain performance, and enhance product and service quality.
Responsibilities
- Manage supplier relationships and procurement processes
- Locate sources of supply, obtain quotes, and place orders
- Develop and implement strategies to consolidate and streamline purchasing activities
- Process purchasing requisitions and issue change orders
- Maintain supplier database and coordinate communications
- Monitor product quality and quantity, report deficiencies, and implement corrective actions
- Route and distribute purchase orders for approval
- File purchasing documents daily
Qualifications
- Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or related degree
- Minimum 3 years of purchasing, engineering, operations, or related business experience
- Experience with production or MRO purchasing, manufacturing, and supply chain management
- Proven negotiation and strong analytical skills
- Creative, quality, and results-driven work ethic
- Team player with self-motivation and professional demeanor
- Demonstrated leadership and excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
- Proficiency in PC software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to conduct Return on Investment Analysis
