MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Operations) Buyer (GR 23)

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue purchase orders for MRO products and services.
• Rout and distribute purchase orders for approval according to authority matrices.
• Manage supplier relationships, including cost, quality, delivery, and service requirements.
• Sources suppliers, obtains quotations and bids, and makes purchasing decisions.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate and streamline purchasing activities.
• Develop and implement cost-reduction and supply chain improvement strategies.
• Support Commodity Managers regarding commercial and contractual requirements.
• Maintain supplier databases and communications.
• Issue change orders related to price, specifications, and quantities.
• Cookordination MRO activities with Administrative, Sales/Marketing, Engineering, and other departments.
• Monitor product quality and quantity and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies with Accounting and requestors.
• Use Business Intelligence tools for MRO analysis and reporting.
• Complete special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of purchasing, billing, financial management, engineering, operations, or related business experience.
• Experience with production or MRO purchasing, manufacturing, and/or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Creative, quality-focused, and results-driven.
• Self-motivated team player capable of working with limited supervision.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to develop Return on Investment (ROI) analyses.

Education

• Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
