Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced Sr Storage Solutions Architect Manager to lead a team of storage solution architects to work with customers, introduce new technologies, and adopt new solutions. In addition, you will be responsible for running technical go-to-market initiatives, surfacing customers insights to the product teams, and develop metrics and mechanisms to track the success of the team. Key responsibilities
- In partnership with the business development team and other service stakeholders, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed adoption and revenue objectives
- Hire, on-board, train, and develop new Solutions Architects
- Coach Solutions Architects in the skills needed to conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions so they can transfer deep technical skills to customers who are considering or using AWS
- Step into a Solutions Architect role when required to support our customer base
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community
- Guide and motivate the development of whitepapers, data sheets, and other high-value customer facing guidance and best practices
About you

- Have a strong understanding of emerging technology solutions
- The ideal candidate will have past experience working as a Solutions Architect or similar role and managing a team of Solutions Architects
- You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions
- The role will require travel to key AWS events
Qualifications
Basic qualifications
- 5+ years of management of technical, enterprise customer facing resources or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
Pay & benefits
Base salary ranges by location:
- USA, MA, Boston: $201,000.00 – $272,000.00 USD annually
- USA, TN, Nashville: $191,000.00 – $258,400.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Arlington: $201,000.00 – $272,000.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Herndon: $201,000.00 – $272,000.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Seattle: $201,000.00 – $272,000.00 USD annually
Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
