About the role

As a Courier II in Houston, TX, you will be responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to our clients. This position includes the use of a company vehicle for your route. For $125 per month, you may take the vehicle home and use it for personal purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a floater for the logistics team, providing coverage for various routes as needed
  • Provide on-route training for new couriers/drivers
  • Assist with dispatch and pickups when needed
  • Load all necessary supplies for daily pickups
  • Complete daily pickup schedule in a timely manner
  • Deliver all daily pickups to your branch at the end of your shift
  • Handle all specimens and lab samples safely and efficiently
  • Safely operate a company vehicle and obey all traffic laws
  • Utilize a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups
  • Work directly with dispatchers for additional pickups as needed
  • Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions

Requirements

  • 3+ years of previous driver or courier experience
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • At least 21 years old
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
  • Strong time management and punctuality
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to problem-solve customer issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent)
  • 1+ years of customer service experience

Schedule

Hours vary based on business needs. Ability to cover 1st–3rd shifts and weekends as needed.
