About the role

As a Courier II, you will act as a floater for the logistics team, providing coverage for various routes, training new couriers, and assisting with dispatch and pickups. You will be responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to clients. A company vehicle will be provided for your route, with the option to take it home for personal use for $125 per month.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, with start times ranging from 9:45 AM to 9:00 PM, depending on route coverage needs
• Weekend coverage on a rotational basis

Responsibilities

• Provide as-needed coverage for various courier routes
• Train new couriers/drivers on routes
• Assist with dispatch and pickups when needed
• Load necessary supplies for daily pickups
• Complete daily pickup schedule in a timely manner
• Deliver all daily pickups to the branch at the end of your shift
• Handle specimens and lab samples safely and efficiently
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey all traffic laws
• Use a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups
• Work directly with dispatchers for additional pickups
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions

Requirements

• 3+ years of previous driver or courier experience
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• At least 21 years old
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
• Strong punctuality and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to problem-solve customer issues

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 1+ year of customer service experience

Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours per week, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible for the 401(k) Plan only. Employees on a 7-on/7-off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
