Sr. Medical Courier/ Route Driver

About the role
As a Courier II, you will act as a floater for the logistics team, providing coverage for various routes, training new couriers, assisting with dispatch and pickups, and ensuring the safe and timely transport of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports. You will operate a company vehicle, manage pickups using a handheld electronic device, and work closely with dispatchers to handle additional requests. A company vehicle is provided for the route, with the option to take it home for personal use for $125 per month.
Responsibilities
- Provide as-needed coverage for various courier routes
- Train new couriers/drivers on routes and procedures
- Assist with dispatch and pickups when needed
- Load necessary supplies for daily pickups
- Complete daily pickup schedule in a timely manner
- Deliver all daily pickups to the branch at the end of your shift
- Handle specimens and lab samples safely and efficiently
- Safely operate a company vehicle and obey all traffic laws
- Use a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups
- Work directly with dispatchers for additional pickups
- Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions
Requirements
- 3+ years of driver or courier experience
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- At least 21 years old
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
- Strong punctuality and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to problem-solve customer issues
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent)
- 2+ years of customer service experience
Schedule
Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours per week, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible for the 401(k) Plan only. Employees on a 7-on/7-off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
