About the role

As a Courier II, you will act as a floater for the logistics team, providing coverage for various routes, training new couriers, and assisting with dispatch and pickups. You will be responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports while ensuring excellent service to our clients. A company vehicle will be provided for your route, with the option to take it home for personal use for $125 per month.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a floater for the logistics team, providing as-needed coverage for various routes
  • Provide on-route training for new couriers/drivers
  • Assist with dispatch and pickups when needed
  • Load all necessary supplies for daily pickups
  • Complete daily pickup schedule in a timely manner
  • Deliver all daily pickups to your branch at the end of your shift
  • Handle all specimens and lab samples safely and efficiently
  • Safely operate a company vehicle and obey all traffic laws
  • Utilize a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups
  • Work directly with dispatchers for additional pickups as needed
  • Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions

Requirements

  • 3+ years of driver or courier experience
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
  • Strong punctuality and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to problem-solve customer issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent)
  • 2+ years of customer service experience

Schedule

Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
