Sr Material Compliance Engineer
About the role
Polaris Inc. is seeking a Senior Compliance Engineer/Technologist to join our dynamic team. This role is part of a critical business function and a rapidly growing discipline, responsible for executing complex strategic, proactive enterprise-wide programs to ensure compliance with global regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead compliance activities related to regulations such as Prop65, REACH, RoHS, TSCA, PFAS
- Perform advanced BOM analysis and compliance risk assessments
- Drive lifecycle compliance strategy for new product development and existing products
- Interpret and apply global regulations to products, components, and suppliers
- Prepare compliance documentation, reports, and declarations for internal and external use
- Lead change management for regulatory updates impacting existing products
- Interface with regulatory agencies, laboratories, and suppliers as a technical expert
- Develop and improve compliance processes, tools, and documentation systems
- Mentor compliance engineers and analysts
- Perform special projects and other duties as needed
Requirements
Deep knowledge of materials regulations, strong leadership and cross-functional influence skills, advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to manage ambiguity and complex regulatory landscapes. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental, Chemical, Environmental Science or a closely related discipline; or equivalent in experience 4-8+ years of related work experience in compliance testing, regulatory compliance, sustainability, or environmental science-related field.

Competitive pay range: $92,000 to $115,000 per year.
