Materials Compliance Engineer
About the role
Polaris Inc. is seeking a Compliance Engineer/Technologist to join our dynamic team. This role is part of a critical business function and a rapidly growing discipline, responsible for executing strategic, proactive enterprise-wide activities to ensure compliance with global regulations.
Responsibilities
- Execute compliance activities related to regulations such as Prop65, REACH, RoHS, TSCA, PFASE
- Evaluate BOMs and materials for compliance status and risk
- Support lifecycle compliance for new product development and sustaining products
- Interpret and apply global regulations to products, components, and suppliers
- Prepare compliance documentation, reports, and declarations for internal and external use
- Monitor and track regulatory changes and assess potential impacts
- Collaborate with suppliers, labs, and regulatory bodies for compliance verification
- Resolve basic compliance issues with engineering, sourcing, and quality teams
- Perform special projects and other duties as needed
Requirements
Working knowledge of materials regulations
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks independently
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental, Chemical, Environmental Science or a closely related discipline
- 2-5+ years of related work experience in compliance testing, regulatory compliance, sustainability, or environmental science-related field

Benefits
The starting pay range for Minnesota is $74,000 to $92,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
