SR. MARKETING / SALES LEAD
About the role
We are a commercial theatre production company that wants to share its intrinsic love for musical theatre with as many people as possible. We bring international hits and original Dutch musicals of the highest possible level to theatres throughout the Netherlands, with the aim of offering the audience an unforgettable performance in which they forget the worries of everyday life. This theatre season we are presenting, among others, Malle Babbe – de Rob de Nijs musical, the Nederpop musical Doe Maar!, the Annie M.G. Schmidt & Harry Bannink musical FOXTROT, VOORUIT with Simone Kleinsma and Paul Groot, and the international production SIX.
Responsibilities
Revenue (±50%) – you drive ticket sales (7-10 million) and results
- You are co-owner of the commercial performance of your productions: you drive turnover, conversion, ROAS/CPA and occupancy rate.
- You translate sales targets into a concrete revenue plan: channel strategy, target group segmentation, propositions, pricing/promotion ideas and activations.
- You continuously optimise the funnel (awareness → consideration → purchase): landing pages, tracking, creatives, retargeting, email flows and timing around key sales moments.
- You report on and analyse sales figures and campaign performance; you draw conclusions and make immediate adjustments based on data.
- You manage the (marketing) budget and allocate it based on return and impact.
Brand (±25%) – strong campaigns that sell
- You develop and execute (online) campaigns and marketing strategies, in collaboration with the team and in coordination with the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- You ensure that all communications align with the brand and the promise of the production, and that creative work demonstrably contributes to performance.
- You work on earned/shared/owned content that is not only beautiful, but also translates into action and ticket sales.
Project management (±25%) – you run the campaign as a project leader
- You coordinate and monitor deadlines, deliverables and progress within the (marketing) campaign for your production (paid, earned, shared and owned media).
- You liaise smoothly with internal teams, theatres and external partners/agencies; you keep everyone sharp.
Qualifications
- You have a commercial mindset: you get energy from targets, sales moments and maximising results.
- You think in funnels and conversion: which message, which channel, which target group, which moment and what does it deliver?
- You are analytically strong and enjoy working with sales figures and campaign data; you steer on facts and dare to make choices.
- You know the marketing mix and know how to use paid/owned/earned/shared to drive sales (not just to be "visible").
- You are a true organisational talent and like to keep an overview; you maintain pace, even when there is a lot going on at once.
- You are flexible and stress-resistant.
- You have a fluent pen and have a good command of the Dutch language.
- You are a team player through and through.
- You have completed a HBO or WO degree in marketing/communication/business administration, supplemented with relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, WordPress, Meta and Google Analytics is a plus but not a must.
About the team
You will join the Commercial team, consisting of a Director of Sales & Marketing, marketers, junior marketers and interns. The other departments are Production & Development and Finance. What characterises us? We are committed, look out for each other, and are passionate and enthusiastic about musicals and theatre. In addition to working hard, we celebrate successes, including attending performances, drinks and regular festive brunches.
What we offer
