About the role

Schwab Wealth Advisory is a fee-based, non-discretionary investment advisory solution built on trust, personalized service, and a fiduciary commitment to our clients. As a Sr. Manager, Wealth Advisor, you'll manage ongoing client relationships, deliver holistic financial planning, and provide tailored investment guidance aligned with Schwab's approach to investing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex client relationships through advanced discovery, diplomacy, and clear, tailored guidance.
  • Navigate sensitive conversations and influence decisions to deepen trust and drive action.
  • Collaborate with an experienced advisory team to support clients through complex financial decisions.
  • Develop and communicate holistic financial plans for high-complexity scenarios, synthesizing inputs into recommendations that align portfolios to client objectives, risk profile, and long-term outcomes.
  • Set an operating cadence for a book of business, prioritizing high-impact activities, coordinating across partners, and ensuring service consistency and follow-through on complex, multi-workstream client needs.
  • Exercise sound judgment and risk awareness, recognizing when situations exceed scope or require additional expertise, and escalating with clear context and options to protect the client experience and meet fiduciary and regulatory expectations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex client relationships through advanced discovery, diplomacy, and clear, tailored guidance.
  • Ability to set an operating cadence for a book of business, prioritizing high-impact activities, coordinating across partners, and ensuring service consistency and follow-through on complex, multi-workstream client needs.
  • Proven ability to develop and communicate holistic financial plans for high-complexity scenarios, synthesizing inputs into recommendations that align portfolios to client objectives, risk profile, and long-term outcomes.
  • Demonstrates a senior learning mindset by seeking input from peers and leaders, integrating feedback into measurable behavior changes, and sharing best practices to coach others and raise advisory quality and client experience.
  • Exercises sound judgment and risk awareness, recognizing when situations exceed scope or require additional expertise, surfacing concerns early, and escalating with clear context and options to protect the client experience and meet fiduciary and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

  • CFP® designation or CFA® designation
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Active FINRA Series 7 license (obtainable within 120 days)
  • Active FINRA Series 66 license (or equivalent) (obtainable within 120 days)
