Sr Manager, Special Projects (IKC)
About the role
The Sr Manager, Special Projects (IKC) is a Denver-based role reporting directly to the COO. This position plays a crucial role within the Operating Leadership team, focusing on strategic planning, management process enhancement, business communications, and information aggregation/synthesis.
Responsibilities
- Support the Chief Operating Officer in crafting and executing strategic initiatives
- Organize core operating efforts and drive collaboration across lanes
- Internal/external communication by helping to craft and deliver key messages
- Highlight management process gaps or improvement opportunities, then implement solutions
- Lead critical projects working across multiple service lanes; monitor metrics, track progress of initiatives, and prepare presentations for senior leadership
- Collaborate across teams to perform analyses and synthesize results
- Support in the development and improvement of a top-performing operations leadership team
- Work across operational and innovation teams to advance best-in-class capabilities in the market
- Regularly appraise the COO of project status and variations from the schedule or scope
- Strategy & Project Execution: Manage and drive strategic and operational initiatives in collaboration with other teams; structure ambiguous problems into clear workstreams and drive execution; develop and communicate project scope, timeline, plan, resource requirements, and assumptions; create, implement, and drive the adoption of processes and solutions to further clinical and business outcomes; communicate project status updates and needs to senior leadership; prepare, report, and manage against targets/goals, including scope, schedule, metrics, and revenue
Requirements
- Prior experience in Strategy, Consulting with Project Management, or a similar role supporting enterprise-level initiatives within healthcare or financial operations leadership
- Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or graduate degree preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in a strategic or operational leadership role
- A minimum of 1 year of project management experience
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
- Prior experience in healthcare services and/or working with payors, physician networks, value-based care models, and/or integrated care models preferred
- Demonstrated track record of top performance and desire to help improve our overall healthcare system
