Sr Manager, Sales Incentives

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage sales compensation plans and processes, ensuring alignment with company objectives and sales strategies.
  • Analyze market trends, internal data, and industry benchmarks to ensure fair and motivating plans and regularly update them to reflect organizational changes or market shifts.
  • Track and evaluate sales performance against established metrics, using dashboards and analytics tools to assess plan effectiveness. This includes identifying trends, resolving discrepancies, and recommending adjustments to optimize results.
  • Forecast and manage sales compensation budgets, balancing incentives with financial sustainability. Track and calculate financial incentive payouts, including delivery of statements.
  • Simulate payout models and ensure cost-effective plan execution.
  • Closely collaborate with Sales, Finance, HR, and IT teams to implement plans, capture data, and communicate policies.
  • Provide training and guidance to sales teams to ensure understanding and motivation.
  • Ensure that sales compensation plans comply with legal and regulatory standards is critical. Stay updated on relevant laws and adjust plans to maintain compliance.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in sales operations, finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role managing sales compensation.
  • Ability to influence senior leadership and collaborate across departments.
  • Familiarity with Sales Performance Management tools, Excel, and CRM systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Certifications in Finance or Certified Sales Compensation Professional (CSCP) is a plus.
