CORE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
  • Masters Degree or equivalent in their specialty preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including:
    • Implementing community-based participatory research projects and collecting data.
    • Knowledge of business and management principles.
    • Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
    • Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan.
    • Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
    • Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
    • Knowledge and comfortability with diverse populations.
    • Designing recruitment materials and QR access codes.
    • Creating semi-structured interviews.
    • Creating coding/thematic guides.
    • Preparing materials/content for focus group discussions.
    • Preparing research protocols and standard operating procedures for data collection.
    • Exporting datasets from RedCap, Qualtrics, and Network Canvas.
    • Cleaning, managing and verifying data quality.
    • Travel to different sites to implement and supervise the implementation of the project.
    • Must have their own transportation and a valid driver license.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conducts meetings with research staff and ensures functions are coordinated in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provides technical support and resolves operational problems.
  • Oversees department budget and identifies areas of opportunity for cost reduction.
  • Aids in the preparation and publication of manuscripts.
  • Recruits and trains research staff and prepares performance reports and disciplinary recommendations for the leadership team.
  • Analyzes reports, data briefs, and auxiliary publications for new topic modules.
  • Defines and produces indicators for a data visualization platform.
  • Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.
  • Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.
