About the role
Otis Elevator is seeking a passionate and driven individual to join and lead our maintenance operations, providing day-to-day management and training of field staff while ensuring exceptional service to our customers. This role focuses on employee selection, development, field training, safety, and operational efficiency. You will report to the Service Sales manager in the Canton, MA territory.
Responsibilities
- Ensure field employee safety and quality of service in your territory
- Plan, organize, and manage service field activities to meet customer needs and company standards
- Allocate resources such as manpower and materials effectively and efficiently
- Conduct field education training with the field workforce
- Improve efficiencies by managing route schedules and callback rates
- Provide technical support to field staff or redirect to other experts
- Authorize repair orders and track their completion
- Lead change toward better efficiency and communication
Requirements
- High school education required; BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience (at least 5 years)
- Experience working with a team of technicians is required
- Leadership experience is required
- Elevator industry experience is desired but not required
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment
- Strong computer and technology skills, business acumen, and a passion for customer service
- Travel within your territory is required; a driver’s license is necessary
