Sr Manager, IT Portfolio - Remote
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Sr Manager, IT Portfolio - Remote to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space. This role will lead the IT portfolio management function and help establish a disciplined, scalable approach to managing technology investments across the organization. The position will partner closely with IT, PMO, and business stakeholders to strengthen governance, improve execution consistency, and ensure visibility into portfolio performance. The ideal candidate will drive portfolio health, budget tracking, and project quality while supporting organizational change and cross-functional decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the IT portfolio management function
- Define and operationalize consistent portfolio and project management practices
- Manage project dependencies and ensure governance standards are enforced
- Drive project quality assurance and compliance with methodologies
- Prepare and present portfolio health and budget updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
- 8+ years delivering complex programs in a PMO or portfolio management environment
- Experience with organizational change management practices
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $159,600 – $239,500 annually
